Andrea began her career in event planning and public relations in Los Angeles at a boutique PR firm with offices in LA and NY. Over the course of several years, she rose to the top as a senior publicist eventually heading up the nightlife and event divisions of the company. With creative ideas, exquisite taste and a hard working mentality, Andrea has successfully executed and overseen events for high profile clients including: People Magazine, Sony Ericsson, Steve Madden, MTV, SELF Magazine, Palms Casino & Resort, Ultimate Vodka, Fred Segal Fun and 2 B Free Clothing to name a few. Whether it is a magazine event at a swanky club in New York, a fashion show at a Beverly Hills hotel or a hospitality suite at the Sundance Film Festival, Andrea has successfully executed events all over the United States. After planning her own wedding in 2008, Andrea knew event planning was her passion. With the help of her mom Jackie, the mother-daughter duo successfully planned Andrea’s large-scale wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. No detail was left untouched- from the cigar roller, to the personalized matchboxes, to the custom drink menu, no stone was left unturned. After numerous special requests for their services, Andrea and Jackie decided to open Andrea Joy Events in 2010.
Andrea has a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Apparel Merchandising and Design from Indiana University. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband Michael and her dog Duke.
